Kala Namak
This is an amazing salt from the Himalayan mountains. It gets its wonderful ‘eggy’ flavour from the sulfur in the volcanic rock.
Its colour ranges from pink to black (dark purple), and gives a lovely ‘eggy’ addition to vegan dishes where eggs would normally have been used (but please don’t put it in cakes! ????)
